Extended Hours Access at the Surgery
The Palms Medical Centre offers Extended Hours access to all our patients from 6.30pm to 8.00pm Tuesday every week.
The new Enhanced access model of care is to be delivered by the Primary Care Networks (PCN) from 1st October 2022. This model is designed to ensure that GP practices can offer enhanced access to patients outside of core hours i.e. 8.00am to 6.30pm including evenings and on Saturdays.

Every 1st, 2nd and 4th Saturday: 9.00am to 5.00pm
The Palms Medical Centre
Every 3rd Saturday: 9.00am to 5.00pm

The Palms Medical Centre is part of Seven Kings GP Alliance which is a PCN consisting of eight member Practices within Redbridge. As a PCN, we have been working tirelessly to develop a model specifically tailored to the needs of our patients, with a view to deliver a high standard of care which is conveniently and consistently available to all our patients.
Our aim is to provide convenient access to GP services outside of core Practice hours whilst reducing any Health Inequalities our patients may be experiencing.
We have been consulting with patients to ensure that plans being proposed meet their needs as we are sincerely aiming for a patient centred model. Details of the proposal are as follows:
Timing
Monday to Friday: 6.30pm to 9.30pm
Saturday: 9.00am to 5.00pm

Seven Kings Health Centre: Main Site
The Palms Medical Centre: Every 3rd Saturday of the month
Clinicians
The model being proposed will see services being provided by a diverse team of clinicians including but not limited to GP’s, Nurses, HCA’s, Clinical Pharmacists and first contact physiotherapists.
Appointments
Appointments will be bookable consultations available up to 2 weeks in advance and will be delivered via different modes i.e. a mix of face to face, telephone and online appointments. This is to make sure that the service is accessible to all.

Call 020 3770 1888 to book a consultation in the Extended Surgery Services at the GP Hub's. These are located at Newbury Group Practice, Fullwell Cross Medical Centre and Southdene Surgery.
Pre-bookable appointment slots:
- 2.00pm to 9.00pm Monday to Friday
- 9.00am to 5.00pm Saturday
- 9.00am to 4.00pm Sunday
Bank Holidays may vary.
Appointments are available with a GP at one of the centres that have been specially set up by Redbridge GPs.
Consultations at the centres are by appointment only as there is no walk-in service.
The centres are for the sort of urgent conditions that are usually dealt with by your GP but are not emergencies requiring Accident & Emergency.
